Academics

Challenging academics in a caring atmosphere

It is our desire to provide the finest possible Christ-centered, academic experience for each of our students and to encourage them to work diligently in all they do.

We believe each child is a masterpiece from the Creator equipped with limitless potential. It is our great charge to unlock their potential to encourage them to become who God intended them to be.

Our academic program consists of five core subjects–Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies/History, and Bible. Students are instructed in these subjects every day. Because of our smaller class sizes, our pace is fast and distractions are minimized.

For 3rd through 8th Grades, we issue report cards 4 times per year with percentage grades for the core subjects as well as effort grades and social and spiritual development grades (E=Exceeds, S=Satisfactory, N=Not Satisfactory). All grades are available real-time on ParentsWeb, our parent portal through RenWeb for information management. Kindergarten through 2nd Grade have a different grading scheme based more on skill attainment than actual letter grade.

Every year our K-8th grade students participate in the Terranova test, a nationally -recognized standardized test. We set aside a week to complete the test with actual testing only occurring for about 45 minutes each day. Our students perform higher than their national peer groups in all subjects.
