June Newsletter

Greetings,

As I reflect on this school year, I notice so many of our students have grown this year. Of course, they have grown taller (and are taller than their teachers!) but so many have grown emotionally and spiritually. I think of the students who have been led to Christ by the Holy Spirit through our teaching, mentoring, and prayers. I think of the preschoolers who have learned that bad days happen, but tomorrow will be better. I think of the middle schoolers who have grown in maturity and show us glimpses of the men and women they are turning into.

This year is especially dear to me since my eldest daughter is graduating from BCS this year. She has made wonderful, lifelong friends, developed her own faith that is separate from her parents’, and has a firm foundation of who she is (and to whom she belongs). She has been taught to discern truth from fiction, to think deeply, and make connections to better understand the world around her.

BCS is embedded in the fabric of who she is and I am so grateful that God led our family to pursue Christian education for our daughters. They will be forever changed to be focused on eternal things and not just the things of this world. Thank you, Bethany Church, for establishing BCS as a beacon of God’s truth!

The 8th grade Fundraising Dinner was held on Wednesday, May 2. It was a wonderful night. Thank you to all who attended. The students were able to raise enough money to fund their trip to Washington, D.C. While in D.C., they will visited the Spy Museum and the Memorials.

National Day of Prayer was Friday, May 4th. Our sixth grade class organized a Prayer Walk across the BCS campus for students and faculty. It was a special way to commemorate the day. Thank you for your service!

The Silent Auction Preview was on Thursday, May 17th from 5-8pm. We sold out of chicken dinners!

The Official Race Day and Silent Auction was Friday, May 18th. We thought we would be rained out, but the rain held off. We raised $26,000 at the Race and almost $14,000 at the Silent Auction! God is good!

Preschool Graduation was held on May 31st. It was a wonderful ceremony and the preschoolers look so adorable in their graduation robes. The preschool teachers make the evening so memorable for the students and families!

Graduation will be Wednesday, June 6 at 7:00pm. Roxie Rust is the graduation speaker! Thanks, Roxie!

Did you know that BCS has Summer Camp all summer long? Camp is open to the public and will begin on Tuesday, June 12th and runs through August 24th, except July 4th week. Each week has a theme and a scripture memory verse and is jam-packed with crafts, water games, activities, and fun. Slots are filling up quickly! Summer Camp is open to BCS students and NON-BCS students from 4 years old through entering 5th grade.  Find out more information about Summer Camp on our website (www.bethanychristian.org)

Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Please pray for God’s blessing on the rest of our school year and on our new Graduates.

We are in the midst of re-registration and new student enrollment. If you feel God calling your family to BCS, please call Kelly Cudicio at (610) 998-0877 or email her at kcudiciobcs@gmail.com. If you have friends who may be considering Christian schooling for their children, please pass her information along. Remember, we are educating minds and transforming hearts!

Please thank God for all of His blessings and continue to pray that His will be done.
